Internal Cancer Identified
If your employees don't feel free to challenge a manager and/or bring up difficult subjects, your company has an internal cancer that can compromise its health.
Xerox CEO Anne Mulcahy is trying to change an ingrained corporate culture of denial and "Yes men" by completely rebuilding her leadership team with competent people who are also candid. She said "this is a much more outspoken management team."
These actions make it clear that Xerox has a leader unafraid of what her people may tell her, including when it challenges her pet ideas.
